Newmarket Baseball Association Friend Request Policy

T-Ball (2021-2022), 7U (2019, 2020) and 9U (2017, 2018)

• Eligibility:

  • Players in T-Ball, 7U and 9U are NOT permitted to submit friend requests for the 2026 playing season. Due to the large volume and varying expectations players will be assigned/balanced to teams based on the house league evaluations. 

• Coach Requests:

  • Requests to play with a specific coach are not accepted.

Exception to the above:

• Coaches and assistant coaches:

  • If a parent volunteers to be a coach or an assistant coach, their child may request one friend to play on the same team.

• Limitations on Requests:

  • Each team will be permitted a maximum of 4 player requests on one team (Coach’s child plus one friend request, assistant coach’s child plus one friend request for a maximum of 4 players on one team.)

• Deadline for Friend Requests:

  • Both registrations must be paid in full by the deadline for any request to be processed.

11U (2015, 2016) and 13U (2013, 2014)

  • Players in 11U, and 13U may submit one friend request.

• Reciprocal Request Requirement:

  • The requested friend must reciprocate the request. Each parent/guardian must submit a matching friend request form.

  • Both requests must be submitted by the deadline to be considered.

• Limitations on Requests:

  • Each player is allowed one request only. Additional requests will not be accepted.

• Coach Requests:

  • Coach requests are not accepted. Friend requests must be between players and their parents.

• Deadline for Friend Requests:

  • Both registrations must be paid in full by the deadline for the request to be processed.

• Extra Notes:

  • Registration should not be dependent on a friend request being granted.

  • While we will attempt to accommodate requests, team balance remains the priority, and we cannot guarantee that every request will be granted.

15U (2011, 2012) and 18U (2008-2010)

  • Each player is allowed multiple requests.

• Coach Requests:

  • Coach requests are accepted.

• Deadline for Friend Requests:

  • Both registrations must be paid in full by the deadline for the request to be processed.

• Extra Notes:

  • Registration should not be dependent on a friend request being granted.

  • While we will attempt to accommodate requests, team balance remains the priority, and we cannot guarantee that every request will be granted.
